Student Council

Our Student Council

Our first student council was set up in October 2017. This council aims to give the children of Cullina N.S a voice and an opportunity to enrich the future of our school.  The council consists of eight members, boy and a girl from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class. Children from 3rd-6th Class were invited to put themselves forward for election. The pupils from these classes then voted by secret ballot to elect their council members. Each student will be given an opportunity to contribute to school matters by writing down their ideas and putting them in the suggestion boxes given to each class once a term. The council members will then discuss these suggestions in consultation with facilitators Mrs Harmon, Mrs Hayes and Principal Mrs Cronin. The council will then decide on and carry out various initiatives based on the ideas of the student body. This term the student council will met and elect a chairperson, secretary and treasurer and receive their personalised student council t-shirts. Exciting times ahead in Cullina N.S!!
