September
September was a busy month for us. We have settled into our new class and are excited for the year ahead.
We made journey sticks to learn about mapwork and the local environment.
We had great fun constructing 2D shapes using bluetac and matchsticks.
We produced our own take on Andy Wharhol's Five Patterns in Nature.
October
In October we participated in the annual Christmas Shoebox Appeal organised by Team Hope.
We designed new covers for the Novel Wildflower Girl by Marita Conlon Mckenna.
We created our own version of Piet Mondrian art.
November
November was a very busy month for us. We practised our Christmas Play 'Stable Manners' with 5th class.
We found out about life in the past.
We learned about the Stone Age and drew some cave art.
We looked at the bones in the body and created our own skeleton.
December
What an exciting time of the year!! To get into the festive feeling we wore our Christmas jumpers, wrote our letters to Santa and created Santa acrostic poems.
We also developed our problem solving using Bee-Bots and Lego Wedo. It was great fun and very interesting.
January
In January we learned how to keep healthy and clean. We designed posters to help us remember.
We studied Limericks and we had great fun composing our own Limericks.
We learned the Seanfhocal - Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin.
February
Look at all the work we did in February.
We created dioramas of Tom Crean sailing to Antarctica.
We wrote Monster adjective poems.
We completed projects on Ancient Egypt.
March
