Basketball with Elma

Over the last few weeks we have been lucky enough to have weekly basketball sessions with Elma from Killorglin (KCYMS) Basketball club. This week for the final session we were extremely lucky to have Allan Thomas from the KCYMS Superleague team in to assist Elma.

Fergus the Amaryllis

On the 11th of December we planted an Amaryllis bulb. We decided after a vote to call him Fergus. Keep checking this section for updates on his growth, as we feed and water him regularly.

September and October Art

During art we focused on drawing and the children drew from observation. They drew still objects in class and also drew outdoors where they drew scenes visible from the back of the school.

We also created "stained glass windows" where the children drew on baking paper and coloured in their pictures. They then hung the pictures on windows and when the sun was shining it lit up the pictures giving the same effect as seen in stained glass windows.

Hopefully we have a few budding artists in our midst!
